About: Fellsmere Community Resource Center advisory board

The Fellsmere Community Resource Center is focused on promoting positive change by equipping individuals and families with resources to build a thriving community. The community is raising funds for a Community Center to help meet those needs.

The Advisory Board:

As a member of the advisory board, you will have the opportunity to provide insight and guidance on key decisions that will shape the direction of this project. You will also have the opportunity to network with other leaders and be a part of shaping the future of the new community center.  All members will receive the monthly newsletter to be kept informed of all activities.

We are seeking advisors with expertise in the following categories:

Nonprofits:

• • Local Nonprofits in the Vero/Fellsmere communities
  • Childcare facilities
  • Local organizations currently providing support

The advisory board will help build a case for support for the community to provide ideas and plans for:

• Personal empowerment and enrichment programs
• Access to resources and county services
  Parenting skills education, pre-natal support and childcare
• After school mentoring and youth activities
• Physical and mental health support
  A multipurpose facility with space for community gatherings and events
