Dr. Christopher Noe
Prior to his consulting work with nonprofit and social enterprise leaders, Dr. Noe served as the Manager of the Office Depot Foundation providing resources and trainings for numerous nonprofits nationally. Most recently, Dr. Noe served as Director of Social Investment at Nonprofits First, where he was a trainer and facilitator for hundreds of nonprofit professionals in providing nonprofit capacity building.
Dr. Noe also brings with him the perspectives of global and national development. Having served as a political advisor and campaign manager in the U.S. to several elected political officials, he was invited to work internationally to provide political training to numerous party leaders across the Indonesian Archipelago and also served as an intern at the United Nations.
Dr. Noe served as state executive director for MADD Georgia and as consultant to numerous nonprofits. In addition to his expertise in nonprofit management and leadership development, he is passionate about his work with social entrepreneurs to develop social enterprise models leading to scalable social change. Dr. Noe is the consummate visionary and enterprise strategist dedicated to advancing social enterprise and developing future social change leaders to work on solutions to some of society’s toughest issues. Some notable accomplishments include:
- Nonprofit Capacity Work – Trainer to hundreds of nonprofit professionals including board members, CEOs, development directors, and senior program staff in the areas of board development, social enterprise, sustainability modeling, strategic planning, marketing and messaging, stakeholder management, business process improvement, strategic visioning and value proposition facilitation, the effective use of balanced scorecards, strategy mapping, grant writing, grant management, major gifts and planned giving, special event training, and fund development training and facilitation.
- Lectures & Speaking – Lectured at area universities including Lynn University and Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL, where he covered topics ranging from effective grant writing to social enterprise modeling and measuring outcomes to demonstrate better social return on investment (SROI). Speaker/presenter at numerous local, regional, and national conferences. Dr. Noe has spoken at the Blue Cross Blue Shield statewide Florida Blue annual conference on strategy development for nonprofit organizations in the healthcare field.
- Media/Communications – Recognized in periodicals in the region as a nonprofit and social enterprise expert, Dr. Noe has often been quoted in several stories about social enterprise and how nonprofits can achieve financial diversification by implementing earned income models and fee-for-service offerings achieving social impact.
- Value Proposition – Worked with numerous boards to achieve rebranding and development of their value proposition while redefining their existence by challenging how they self-identify. The goal is to provide new value for stakeholders by unlocking all of the value potential in their programs and offerings to the public as a whole.
- Strategic Planning – Worked with dozens of nonprofit and social enterprise CEOs to create strategic plans and development and marketing strategies to demonstrate social impact and increase SROI.
- SROI – Developed methods and models for nonprofits to tell their story of how they are demonstrating and measuring their success and social return on investment (SROI) by working with senior teams to create key performance indicators (KPIs) for their program metrics to define success both internally and for their investors.
- Balanced Scorecards – Delivered powerful tools to measure performance of boards, CEOs, and staff by the use of balanced scorecards and other internal measurement performance tracking systems that allow the organization to track assess both internally and externally how they can deliver better outcomes to the beneficiaries they serve.
- Strategy Maps – Leveraged the effective use of strategy maps to create a level of enthusiasm and momentum for the focused organization to spark imagination and creation at the highest levels of output by board members, staff members, and all the stakeholders of an organization to demonstrate that social change is occurring and for the organization to have a basis for such a change in direction.
Dr. Noe is a graduate of Leadership Boca, Leadership Delray, and Leadership Palm Beach County. He has his MBA in Nonprofit Management & Public Administration from Argosy University in Tampa, FL, and Dr. Noe recently completed his Ph.D. in Global Leadership at Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL, specializing in corporate and organizational leadership.
Dr. Noe is currently CEO and Founder of CNoeLimits, LLC, where he serves as a nonprofit and social enterprise advisor to both nonprofit and business enterprise leaders looking to be a force for social good. The focal point of CNoeLimits, LLC is to create purpose within enterprise for effective social change and community impact within nonprofit, social, and for-profit business enterprises.
